INTRODUCTION
African swine fever is an infectious disease caused by the ASFV virus (African swine fever virus). The virus is an icosahedral, double-stranded DNA virus, belongs to the family Asfarviridae. The disease can be transmitted at all ages and all breeds of pigs, spread fast and the mortality rate is as high as 100%. Currently, there is no vaccine or specific treatment, so early detection is extremely important. Currently, there are many different methods of testing for ASFV, but RT-PCR has the highest sensitivity and specificity allowing early detection of ASFV in the farm and helping farmers to handle outbreaks early to avoid heavy economic losses. TopSPEC® ASFV qPCR KIT (SQV-101) is designed for rapid and accurate detection of African swine fever virus on a variety of samples (tissues, organs, whole blood, serum, environmental surface samples) by Real-time PCR. The average time for detection is 2 hours. The kit is a combination of many modern technologies in molecular biology in order to improve the efficiency and sensitivity of the reaction compared to other products on the market. In addition, during extraction or mixing, exogenous controls can be added to avoid false negatives and manipulation errors.
