Introduction
Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) is the causative agent of Care disease in dogs with a mortality rate up to 100% if not treated promptly. RNA structure, diameter 150-250 nm. When infected, the virus can be fatal in just a few days. The disease spreads rapidly through contact with nasal secretions, saliva, urine, and feces, with a mortality rate of up to 100% if not treated promptly. Therefore, early detection is essential to prevent the spread of CDV in the herd.
TopSPEC® CDV REALTIME RT-PCR KIT (SQV-102) is a test kit based on RT-PCR method that allows accurate quantification and rapid detection of Canine Distemper Virus on whole blood samples. The average time for detection is 2 hours. The kit combines a new generation Taq Polymerase technology and an optimized buffer system with enhanced substances to improve the efficiency and sensitivity of the reaction. In addition, during extraction or mixing, exogenous controls can be added to avoid false negatives and manipulation errors.
Advantage
- Easy to use
- PCR time optimized for 2 hours
- Various types of samples
- High sensitivity and specificity
