Introduction
Ehrlichia is a blood-borne parasite that is transmitted by ticks. This is a negative-gram bacteria, which parasitizes in monocytes and invades white blood cells, and adversely affects the health of dogs. The disease is divided into three stages: acute, subclinical, and chronic. Common symptoms include fever, drop in blood cells and affecting the health of pets. Although the mortality rate is low, the disease will also leave bad sequelae for dogs and cats.
TopSPEC® Ehrlichia REALTIME PCR KIT (SQV-104) is a test kit based on Real-time PCR method that allows accurate quantification and rapid detection of Ehrlichiosis. The average time for detection is 2 hours. The kit combines a new generation Taq Polymerase technology and an optimized buffer system with enhanced substances to improve the efficiency and sensitivity of the reaction. In addition, during extraction or mixing, exogenous controls can be added to avoid false negatives and manipulation errors.
