Introduction
Viral nervous necrosis (VNN), also known as viral encephalopathy and vetinopathy (VER), is caused by piscine nodavirus (Betanodavirus) in many marine fish and is widely spread in many different regions. VNN is an acute or secondary disease, usually occurring in the larval and juvenile stages, causing a high cumulative mortality rate of 70-100%. Therefore, early detection of VNN will help to prevent the spread of diseases and minimize economic loss.
“TopSPEC® VNN RT-qPCR KIT (SQS-212)is a test kit based on One-step Realtime RT-PCR method that allows fast and accurate detection of the agent Betanodavirus causing neural necrosis (VNN) in shrimp. The average running time is 1.5-2 hours. The kit applies next-generation Hot Start Taq Polymerase technology and an optimized buffer system to improve performance, sensitivity and reaction time. In addition, during extraction or mixing, exogenous controls can be added to avoid false negatives and manipulation errors.“
Advantages of the kit
- Simple process
- PCR optimal time: 2 hours
- Various types of input samples
- High sensitivity and specificity
- Provide additional master mix for control test (75 tests)
- Compatible with most real-time PCR machines on the market: Rotor Gene Q (Qiagen), 7500, 7500 Fast (Thermo Fisher), AriaMX, Mx 3005p, Bioer, Dlab, etc.
