Introduction:
Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum (TP) subspecies pallidum. The signs and symptoms of syphilis vary depending on the four stages it presents (primary, secondary, latent, and tertiary). Common manifestations include genital ulcers, skin lesions, meningitis, aortic disease, and neurological syndromes. Diagnosis is usually made by using blood tests and adjuvant tests selected based on the stage of the disease. Syphilis can be effectively treated with Penicillin.
TopSENSI® Treponema pallidum qPCR KIT (RUO) (SQH-110) is a test kit based on real-time PCR method that allows rapid and accurate detection of the agent Treponema Pallidum (TP) in vaginal or anal swab samples. The kit has the advantages of high specificity, sensitivity, and exogenous controls can be added to avoid false negatives and manipulation errors.
Advantages of the kit
- Simple process
- PCR optimal time:1.5 hours
- High sensitivity and specificity (Detectability 10 copies/reaction)
- Supplied with a complete set of consumables
- Provide additional master mix for control test (75 tests)
- Compatible with most real-time PCR machines on the market: Rotor Gene Q (Qiagen), 7500, 7500 Fast (Thermo Fisher), AriaMX, Mx 3005p, Bioer, Dlab, etc.
