Introduction
Influenza A/H5N1 is a highly infectious subgroup of avian influenza. The name H5N1 is related to the type of antigenic proteins: hemagglutinin proteins group 5 (H5) and neuraminidase proteins group 1 (N1) present on the surface of the virus. Since 1997, outbreaks of influenza A/H5N1 have infected and killed tens of millions of poultry. There is a warning that a strain from the H5N1 subtype can mutate (or recombine) to form a virus capable of causing a global pandemic leading to enormous economic losses. Influenza A/H5N1 virus is transmitted by parasitizing in the small intestine cells of seasonally migratory birds. Due to their immune system, these birds do not get infected; but they can easily transmit to poultry raised for meat such as chickens, ducks, etc. This is the main cause of avian influenza outbreaks.
TopSPEC®H5N1 RT-qPCR KIT is a test kit based on Real-time PCR method that allows accurate quantification and rapid detection of the causative agent of Babesiosis on whole blood samples. The average time for detection is 2 hours. The kit combines a new generation Taq Polymerase technology and an optimized buffer system with enhanced substances to improve the efficiency and sensitivity of the reaction. In addition, during extraction or mixing, exogenous controls can be added to avoid false negatives and manipulation errors.
