TopSPEC® MrNV RT-qPCR KIT (SQS-252)

Introduction

White-tailed shrimp disease (WTD) or white muscle disease (WMD) occurs in shrimp caused by Macrobrachium rosenbergii nodavirus (MrNV) and extra small virus (XSV). MrNV is the main cause of white tail disease. MrNV infections do not cause death in adult shrimp, however, they cause a milky whitish appearance in larvae/postlarvae (PL)/early juveniles, and are responsible for large-scale mortalities in the freshwater prawn. The mortality rate is 100% after 5-6 days. Therefore, early detection of MrNV should be a top priority to minimize damage.

TopSPEC® MrNV RT-qPCR Kit is a test kit for detecting the presence of Macrobrachium rosenbergii nodavirus (MrNV) in culture medium. The early detection of pathogens helps minimize the loss caused by MrNV.
