INTRODUCTION
Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea (PED) is caused by the virus enter into the gastrointestinal tract, attacking and reducing the activity of the digestive tamarind. The virus exists for a long time in the livestock environment and spread through secretions and feces. Infected pigs will show signs of bleeding, indigestion, vomiting, and diarrhea. The disease spreads quickly and causes economic losses to farmers. Early detection helps to save costs and prevent losses caused by PED virus.
The TopSPEC® PED RT-qPCR Kit is designed for the rapid and accurate detection of ASF virus on various sample types (feces, whole blood, serum, environmental samples) by Real-time PCR. The average time for the complete process of detection is 2 hours. The kit is a combination of many modern technologies in molecular biology to significantly improve the specificity and sensitivity of the reaction compared to other products on the market today. In addition, during extraction or mixing, exogenous controls can be added to limit false negatives and manipulation errors.
